Age 90, passed away at Dimon-dale Nursing' Center on Thursday, August 11, 2005. She was born oh May 10, 1915 in Bannister, MI, the daughter 'of Joseph and Eliz-' Age 83, died at home peacefully Friday, August 12, 2005 in Delta Township. Virginia was born August 22, 1921 in Charlotte, Michigan, the daughter of Charles and Lucinda (Pratt) Helen passed away Thursday, August 11, 2005, while gardening at her home. Helen dedicated her life to two children, Debo-rah (Neil). Tauber of Los Angeles, California, and Ronald Telling of Lan Age 70, Barb lost her battle with cancer on August 12, 2005.

She passed into eternal life surrounded by family and friends. Barbara was born September 21, 1934 Dans-ville. She was Russell Dale Maples died Eeacefully at his on Wednesday, August 10, 2005 after a brief and Westphalia Township, the son of Frank and Caroline (Fan-del) Rademacher. He was a member of St. abeth Konenek.

Josephine was very active in her church and was a member of St Mary Cathedral for more than fifty years. She was also active in the VFW, holding numerous offices over the years. Survivors include: 2 sons, Karl of Miami, FL and David (Janice) of Mason; 5 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband of 52 years, Karl H. Hoeflinger, on.

December 13, 1998; 3 brothers, Joseph, Andrew and Victor; and 2 sisters, Mary and Helen. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2005 at St. Mary Cathedral, 219 Seymour, Lansing, with the Rev. Msgr.

Michael D. Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Deep-dale Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel.

For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Cathedral or the VFW National Home for Children, 3573 S. Waverly Road, Eaton Rapids, MI 48827, in loving memory of Josephine M. Hoeflinger. Uhl.

She was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church. Virginia was a cashier for Schmidts Supermarkets on West Saginaw for over 30 years. Preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Masseau; daughter, Annette Marie Masseau; one sister and one brother. Virginia is survived by two sons, Frank (Connie) Masseau of Grand Ledge, Larry (Carolyn) Masseau of Holt; one sister, Marjorie Penner of Florida; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the Visiting Nurse Services of Michigan for helping care of their mother, especially, Elaine, Sue, and Kim for the loving care. Celebration of the Funeral Mass will be Monday, August 15, 2005 at 11:00 am at St. Gerard Catholic Church, 4437 Willow Highway with the Rev. Fr. John M.

Fain as celebrant Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends, Sunday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a Rosary being held at 7:00 p.m. at Palmer, Bush Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel.

Barb enjoyed spending time at her cabin on Bois Blanc Island and loved being surrounded by family.

She enjoyed playing cards, fishing, watching ner family play sports, and making gifts for them. She was dubbed "The Shuffle Board Queen" by her friends on Bois Blanc Island. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Memorial services will be held on Monday, August 15, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at St.

Helen is also survived by her loving brothers and sisters: Richard (Marcia) Andrews, Mary Lou Andrews, Patricia (Arnold) Berkompas, Donald (Sharon) Andrews, John (Sheila) Andrews, Marjorie (Darrell) Peterson and Barbara Powers. Our beloved Helen was a tireless worker with a strong work ethic and a great love for people. With her bright smile and ready ear, she always had time to talk.

She cared so much for other people, she often put their needs before her own. She was employed by General Motors for approximately two decades and had oeen known to work more than one job to assure her family's survival and comfort. A graduate of Eastern High School, Helen was a member of the Gun-nisonville Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles Lodge. Helen was loved by many and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 15, 2005, at 2:00 p.m.

Mr. Rademacher was a farmer all of his life and was the recipient of the Clinton County Conservation Farmer of the Year Award in 1973. On May 26, 1943, he married Ver-ena C.

Smith at St. Mary's in Westphalia. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Holland; brothers, Slyvester, Wilfred, and Leander Rademacher; sisters, Lillian Smith and Edwina Randall. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Verena; children, Joseph (Laura) Rademacher, Gary (Mary) Rademacher, John Rademacher, Thomas (Ann) Rademacher, Roy (Laure) Rademacher; daughter, Mary T. (Jim) Morgan; son-in-law, Jim Holland; 21 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Mar-cella Spitzley.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Cecilio Reyna at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Westphalia. Rite of Committal will be St. Mary's Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday at the St. Mary's Funeral Chapel, 210 N. Westphalia Street. The Rosaries will be prayed at 3:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Russ was born on February 27, 1925 in Imlay City, Michigan and in the midst of a stellar high school athletic career, enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942, at the age of seventeen. He piloted a B-24, "Unfinished flying 52 missions in the European Theatre. He then attended Bowling Green State University, where he was a standout quarterback in the late 1940's.

His career as coach, teacher, and central administrator for the Lansing School District lasted nearly forty years. His beloved Sexton "Big Reds" were Class A state football champions in 1961 and 1963. Russ was mducted into the Greater Lansing Area Sports Hall of Fame in 2004. He served in many civic organizations, including as president of the Lansing Boys Club. Russ was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mae.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Marilyn Maples; his children, Dennis (Jenny), Dayle (David Kampfschulte), and Mike (Lori); his grandchildren, Kris, Kory, and Gage Maples, Kevin and Annie Kampfschulte, and Kinzel Maples were the light of his life; and sisters, Beverly (Ed) Thomas, Barbara Crankshaw, Sandra Teet-zel, and Mary Jo Maples, along with many meces and nephews. He is also survived by hundreds of former students and athletes, whom he greatly influenced. Russ was greatly comforted and cheered by the many dear friends who visited and helped care for him in his final days. He was an avid downhill skier and golfer and spent the winter of his 80th birthday skiing in Michigan and in the West He cherished deeply the countless hours spent with his friends and family on the ski slopes and golf courses over the years. He was a skilled builder and carpenter and enjoyed helping friends with many projects.

The family would like to thank the medical staff at Dr. Larry Pawl's office, the staff at Spectrum Health, Butterworth Hospital, the staff at Ingham Visiting Nurse and Home Hospice Services, and the staff of Home Instead Senior Care, for their excellent and compassionate care given over the past three months. A service to celebrate Russ's life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2005 at Delta Presbyterian Church, 6100 W. Michigan Lansing, with the Rev.

Dr. Alfred D. Deutsch officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ingham Hospice Services of Michigan or the Boys Girls Club of Lansing.

Eaton Rapids, Ml Bacon, Chester Eaton Kalamazoo, Ml Wilson, Jimmie Lee Athens, Ml Morgenstera, Nancy Louise Charlotte, Ml Age 69, died Friday, August 12, 2005 in Eaton Rapids. Wesley was born February 10, 1936 in Lansing, the son of Theodore Max and Esther Irene (Laycock) Allen. He was a member of the Passed away Thursday, August 11, 2005, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Chester was born March 4, 1918 in Jimmie Lee Wilson, 56, of Athens, died August 11, 2005 at Mercy Pavilion, Battle Creek.

He was born March 12, 1949 to Alee and Ola Mae (Jackson) Wilson in Lansing. He graduated from Age 76, died Tn a August 11, 2005 in Lansing. Mrs. Morgenstern was born November 3, 1928 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Nagy) Ghorai, Subhas Lansing, Ml Died August 5, 2005, at the age of 70, while visiting his family in Oakland, CA. Mr.

Ghorai was born in New Delhi, India on September 1, 1934. A graduate of the University of Calcutta, he emigrated to the US at the age of 17 to pursue graduate degrees at the Indiana Institute of Technology and Michigan State University. After working as an aerospace engineer at Lockheed Martin (Burbank, CA), Pratt Whitney (East Hartford, CT), and Boeing (Seattle.WA), Mr. Ghorai moved back to the Lansing area where he resided for 35 years. He was employed for the State of Michigan's Department of Man-' agement and Budget for 34 years, retiring in April 2005.

Mr. Ghorai was a lifelong student of physics, chemistry, philosophy, ancf history as well as an avid gardener, amateur nutritionist, and world traveler. He is survived by this three children, Alexis (Wendy) Ghorai of Oakland, CA, Andrea (Brent) Edwards of San Francisco, CA, and Todd Ghorai of Breckenridge, CO; and two granddaughters, Olivia and Julia Ghorai. Private family services were held in California. Kerekes.

She Eaton Rapids Wesleyan Church, a veteran of the US Army (serving in Korea), and retired from the City of Lansing in 1995 after 27 years of service. Preceded in death by his daughter, Kim Allen, in 1993, he is survived by his wife, Donna; daughter, Renee (Greg) Ramey of Eaton Rapids; 2 sons, Kirk (Jill) Allen of Eaton Rapids and Kevin (Sherrel) Crawley of Davison; 7 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Theron (Mary) Allen of White Cloud and Doug Allen of Spring Arbor; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at the Wesleyan Church, 6044 S. Clinton Trail, Eaton Rapids.

Wilson and Sheryl A. Wilson, both of Lansing, Adrienne A. (Will Smith) Wilson of Jackson, and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was the past commander of VFW Post 5319 in Athens and participated in the Albion Community Theatre as a singer and actor.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and singing at baseball games, weddings and funerals. He especially enjoyed karaoke and most of all he loved his grandchildren. Friends may call from 6 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Shaw Funeral Home, Battle Creek. Services will take place 10:00 a.m.

HOPE Lansing, Michigan, the son of Stanley and Mabel Eaton Bacon. Ches- ter graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1936. He served his country for over 7 years in the United States Navy, and received multiple citations in the Pacific Theatre. Chester was most proud of his Commemorative Medal for service at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and remained with the South Pacific fleet throughout the remainder of the War. Following his honorable discharge, Chester was united in marriage to Beverly Ann Trumpower on November 9, 1946 and raised two daughters and a son while being employed with the State of Michigan, Secretary of State Department from 1954 to 1978.

As a State employee, Chester was active as an officer in the Michigan State Employees Association and organized golf, bowling leagues, and multiple charter bus trips to Detroit Tiger baseball games despite being a die hard New York Yankee fan. In retirement Chester enjoyed golf and sporting events and frequently traveled to Myrtle Beach, SC, and attended numerous major league baseball and MSU football games. Chester was very proud of his grandchildren's academic, athletic and musical accomplishments and was very supportive of these endeavors. Chester was a staunch patriot, extremely proud of surviving the great depression and World War II and is to be envied for his front row seat to a multitude of societal changes during his lifetime. Chester is survived by his son, Barry (Pamela) Bacon; daughters, Pamela J.

Creighton and Diane K. Phelps; grandchildren, Kristen, Kelly, Jason, Benjamin and Emily; and great-granddaughters, Hannah and Chloe. Chester was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Beverly. He was born December 2, 1911 in Maple Rapids. Don was the son of Carrie and Clyde Jaquish. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in St Johns, the American Legion Post 153, the U.A.W. Chapter 652.

He was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy. In his younger years, Don enjoyed camping and fishing. He also enjoyed playing cards and crossword puzzles, but most of all he lovea being surrounded by his family. Donald married Alberta Emmons on November 17, 1934 and she preceded him in death 24 years ago.

He was also preceded in death dv his only son, John Jaquish; granddaughter, Janice Bancroft; and great-grandsons, Derek Bancroft and Erik Warner.
