ALFORD ZORN Former Lansing Girl Is Married (Spacial to Tha Stata Journal) LAINGSBURG A Thanksgiving day wedding was held at St Clair Catholic church in Santa Clara, when Miss Carole K. Pelton was united in marriage to Vernon E. Silva, both of Santa Clara.

Carole is the daughter of Mrs. Theda Jones of Santa Clara, and Gaylord C. Pelton of 2213 Vine Lansing. Mr. and Mrs.

Everett Throop of Laings-burg are her grandparents. Vernon is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Silva also of Santa Clara, Cal. He graduated from the Bellarmine preparatory college and is in the navy.

The newlyweds will make their temporary home in Norman, where Mr: Silva is stationed. Benefit Sales Siama Kaooa alumna will hold a rummage sale Saturday from a. m. in 2 p. m.

IT FEELS (Special to The State Journal) EATON RAPIDS Lighted candelabra and baskets of snowdrift ind pompon chrysJ anthemums graced the altar of the Church of the Nazarene recently when Miss Joyce E. Parks became the bride of Cpl. Alford Zorn in ceremonies' performed by Rev. C. A.

Noffsin-ger. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Leahbell Parks of Eaton Rapids. Her husband is the son of Mrs. Jack Zorn of Eaton Rapids.

Gowned in white Chantilly lace with scalloped neckline and wristpointed sleeves, the bride wore a pearl-encrusted crown from which fell a fingertip veil. She carried a white orchid atop a white Bible. Attending the bride was her sister, Mrs. Donald Walters. Teresa 'Higbie was flower girl and Herbert Milbourn was ring-bearer.

The bridegroojn's attendant was Leon Skinner. Ushers were Dean and Maynard Moon, Donald Walters and Wil-" liam Hazel. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the O. O. F.

hall. The young Zorns will make their home on Knight st. until Dec. 12 when Cpl. Zorn will report to his marine base in North Carolina.

Mrs. Zorn will join her husband there in a few week Lansing Woman Now Mrs. Mills Relatives and friends here have received word of the marriage of Mrs. Neita Wenz and Howard Mills, both of Battle Creek. Mrs.

Wenz, formerly of Lansing, is' the widow of the late Albert W. Wenz. She moved to Battle Creek five years ago. The double ring ceremony was performed in the chapel of the First Congregational church in Battle Creek, Nov. 21 at 6 p.
