Carrs Open Home To 200 Guests Two days of Christmas gave much time for merry open houses and many were given by Lansing people in homes gaily decorated with Christmas trees, holly, and mistletoe. Dr. and Mrs. E. I.

Carr entertained about 200 guests Monday between 5 and 8 o'clock at their new home a at 1915 Moores River drive. A southern "mammy" in red skirt and red turban served eggnog in the recreation room where Mrs. Ard Richardson was hostess, and Mrs. Fannie Carr of Lansing. and Mrs.

Frank McKibbin of Indianapolis, poured coffee at the table in the dining room. Between 60 and 65 guests were greeted by the Max Harrymans Sunday evening at their home on Moores River drive. A buffet luncheon was served. Mr. and Mrs.

Max Harryman give a Christmas open house annually. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Beebe received about 60, guests Sunday afternoon at their home. 1220 North Genesee drive.

A. Notes Annual Christmas program of the Walnut street school association was given Wednesday evening at the school when pupils of the regular grades presented a Christmas play and sang Christmas carols. Miss Helen Barnhart, principal of the school, the program which included "Why the Chimes directed, presented by children from the various grades. Interspersed throughout the program were carols sung by pupils from the regular rooms of the school. Miss Margaret Knapp designed and made scenery for play.

A Christmas program for the special rooms of the school was held Thursday afternoon at the school. At this time Dicken's "Christmas was enacted by the children and Christmas carols were sung by various groups of the school. Meetings Postponed Service Guild class of the First Baptist church has postponed until further notice its regular monthly business and social meeting, scheduled for Tuesday. Irish Crochet club has postponed the meeting that was scheduled for Wednesday. The meeting will be held after the holidays.

Plan Weekly Dance The regular weekly Y. W. C. A. dance will be held Thursday evening at the association building.

Dancing will be from 9 to 12 o'clock to the music of Bill Porter's orchestra. A general invitation to persons past high school age to attend these weekly events has been issued.
