YOUTH GIVEN HIS FREEDOM Charges against Companion In Flight of Young Balfe Macdonald Dropped FLINT, Aug. 16 (P) William Terwilliger, 16-year-old companion in flight of Balfe Macdonald after Balfe had killed his mother, last May 27, was free Wednesday for the first time since the boys were returned from Nashville, early last June. From Nashville came word that charges of extortion on which Balfe and young Terwilliger were arrested before they were identified as the Flint fugitives, would be dropped. Terwilliger had been held here only as a material witness, but his status will be considered further at a hearing a week from Thursday.
