Charlotte, Ml Age 79, died Wednesday, November 20, 2002. Iris was born August 7, 1923 in Grand Ledge, MI, the daughter of Edward G. and Ina Belle (Watts) Johnson.

She grew up in Potterville, then moved to California at the age of 20. She returned to this area in 1966 and worked for Aluminum Extrusions for 30 years until her retirement. She is survived by son Michael (Kathy) Allen of DeWitt, MI; daughters Annette (Mike) Greenwood of Lubbock, Texas and Deborah Long of Linden, MI; 7 grandchildren, Susan -Werner, Gary Firestone Brett Greenwood, Tiffany Allen, Taylor R. Allen, Sgt. Eric Long and Marisa Long; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Penny) Johnson of Olivet, MI and Jack (Betty) Johnson of Charlotte.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, November 23, 2002 at Pray Funeral Home, Charlotte, MI, with Pastor Pat Brooks officiating. Visitation will also be Saturday, beginning at 10 AM If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the DeWitt Redeemer United Methodist Church Garden Fund or to Sparrow Home Hospice Services. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Thomas Ray Holwerda; her mother, Mrs. Cora Van Dorp of Kalamazoo, MI; her sister, Cornelia and Daniel Vellenga of CA; her brother, Tohn and Marge Van Dorp of CA; ner sisters-in-law, Jeanne and Larry Borst of Grand Rapids and Sandra and Stan Klop of CA; and her brother-in-law, David and Nancy VerMerris of Fruitport; and numerous nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Ruth was predeceased by her father Jacob Van Dorp and a sister-in-law Merrie VerMerris. Ruth was a graduate of Calvin College and Western Michigan University. She taught in schools in New Jersey, Michigan, and Spain. She earnestly sought the Lord and she served Him faithfully throughout her walk with Him. A Memorial Service will be held Monday at 7 PM at the Woodlawn Christian Reformed Church meeting at the Calvin College Chapel, Pastor Michael Abma and Mr.

Richard Vaughn officiating. Private interment, Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will be at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Perry Kubiak: To Michael and Tina Kubiak, a son, Gavin Michael Kubiak, at Sparrow Hospital, Nov. 17. Parker, Muriel Irene "Bishop" Lansing, Ml Age 88, passed away November 21, 2002 at her home.

Mrs. Parker was born in Barrington, MI, October 21, 1914, the oldest daughter of iviaDei vuidds; and Earl Bishop. On January 2, 1931 she married Francis Peter "Frank" Parker, of Lansing, and the couple had 12 children. Sne was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, a devoted wife, and a servant of the Lord. A devout Roman Catholic, Mrs Parker had a particular devotion to Mary, the Blessed Mother of Jesus.

Mrs. Parker worked for the State of Michigan in the Department of Social Services, where she exhibited great compassion for the clients she served. She retired at the age of 65. She was a member of the St. Mary Cathedral Altar Society, was active in the lives of her children and grandchildren through church activities and school organizations, was generous with her gifts of humor, faith and good cooking, and she never refused to give help and prayer to anyone in need.

Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband; grandchildren, Deborah, Steven, and Larry Parker; her sisters, Audrey Men-henick and Beulah Dick, and her brothers, Russell Bishop and Donald Bishop. Surviving are her brothers, Basil Bishop of Dimon-dale and Ronald Bishop of Seattle, WA; her children and their spouses, Francis Parker, Jr. (Nancy), Robert Parker (Carol) of Las Vegas, Thomas Parker (Deb) of Las Vegas, Barbara Pierson (Ar-den) of DeWitt, Helen Hayes (George) of Grand Ledge, Marilyn Pirochta (Fred), Carol Platte (Paul) of DeWitt, Charles Parker (Rosemary) of Otsego, James Parker (Genia) of Tucson, AZ, Patricia Haywood, Theresa Kessler-Geml (Gerald) of E. Lansing, and William Parker (Karen); 64 grandchildren; and 91 greatgrandchildren.

Her faithful Yorkshire Terrier, Whiskey, will mourn her loss. The family extends a special thank-you to her physician, John Paget, Sparrow Hospice Services workers, Lynn and Kris, and Beverly Swint, a dear friend. Visitation Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Palmer Bush Delta Chapel where a rosary will be prayed at 6:30 Sunday night. Celebration of the funeral mass will be held Monday, November 25, 12:30 PM at St. Gerard Catholic Church, with Rev.

Fr. John Klein, Monsignor Robert Lunsford and Rev. Fr. Larry Delaney concelebrating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Sparrow Home Hospice Services in memory of Muriel.

Davis, Marcia Rae St. Johns, Ml Age 65, died November 21, 2002. She was born in St. Johns on May 6, 1937, the daughter of Stanley and Fannie (Conn) Weir. She was a school bus driver for 30 years with St.

Johns Public Schools, a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and choir, and Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel, enjoyed flower gardening, crafts, shopping, cross stitching and aerobics. Marcia married Duane Davis in St. Johns on February 11, 1978 and he survives her. Also surviving are her children, Mary (Marty) Ciezadlo of Lansing, Allan (Sue) Sehlke, David Sehlke, all of St.

Johns, and Pam Martin of Lansing and special grandson, Jordan Martin. Also surviving are Duane's children, Cindy (Larry) Kindel of St. Johns, Diane (Bob) DeFauw of Saline, MI, Brian (Mary) Davis of Minneapolis and Mary (Jerry) Krupp of New Castle, IN, her mother, Fannie Weir of St. Johns, brother, Doug (Marcy) Weir of St Johns, eight step grandchildren and two nieces. She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services will be 12 Noon, Monday, November 25, 2002 at St. John's Lutheran Church, burial at South Bingham Cemetery with the Rev. George Brinley officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Saturday and 2-4 and 6-8 P.M.

Sunday at the Osgood Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Sympathy may be expressed in the form of memorials to St. John's Lutheran Church Music Fund in memory of Marcia. Wis, Ricky C. Eaton, Rapids, Ml Age 50, died Tn a November 21, 2002 at his residence.

He was born December 29, 1951 in Gladwin. Ricky was fAl and loved resur- lev. img uiu ii a-tOrS and making them run again. He also loved gardening and planting his orchard. Surviving are his wife of 8 years, Cecelia; son, Richard (Jennifer) Willis of Lansing; stepson, John Hashem of ML Clemens; 2 grandchildren, Walker and Amber Willis; parents, Donald and Diane Willis of Eaton Rapids; mother-in-law, Cecelia Karash of Mt.

Clemens; 3 sisters, Vickie (Bill) Fears of Eaton Rapids, Becky (Eric) Olger of Pot-terville, Sandy Willis of Eaton Rapids; 2 nephews; 3 nieces; several special friends; and his dogs that he loved like children, Scooter, Thunder, Victor, Skipper, Boomer, Lobo, TJ, Shyann, Uno, Missy and Pooh. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 25, 2002, 1 PM at the Shelly-Odell Funeral Home, 518 S. Main, Eaton Rapids. St. Johns Davis, Marcia Rae, 65, retired St. Johns Public Schools bus Klewicki, Walter A. Williamston, Ml Age 83, died November 21, 2002. Born June 15, 1919 in Hamtramck, MI.

Mr. Klewicki served in the Army with the 966 Engineers Maintenance Co. and the Battle of Normandv. He received his Bachelors and Masters degrees at Michigan State University and taught Math in Howell at Highlander Way Middle School, and worked on the first Ford assembly line. At age 83, he parred at Oak Lane Golf Course in Webberville.

Mr. Klewicki was a 4th degree in the Knights of Columbus and a very proud father of all his children wno are college graduates. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty and 4 brothers, Joseph, Wesley, Ed and Casey. Surviving are 3 daughters, Ruth (Dan) Steinacker of Fostoria, OH, Nancy (Mike Boyle) Klewicki of Bothell, WA and Casey (Jim) Burley of Seaford, VA; 2 sons, John (Julie) of New Lebanon, IN and Joseph (Cindy) of Salt Lake City, UT; 13 grandchildren; 1 greatgrandchild; 1 brother, Herman of Troy. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, November 25, 11 AM at St.

Mary Catholic Church, 157 High Street, Wil-liamston, with the Rev. Thomas Thompson, Pastor, officiating. The Rite of Committal will follow in Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Williamston. The family will receive friends at the Gorsline-Runciman Co.

MI, the daughter V. 3 of James and II Nancv Harrison. mS 1 She was pre ceded in death by her husband, Jack Krancich; parents; 2 sisters, Bessie Miller and May Scott; 2 brothers, Ellsworth and Frank Harrison; 2 son-in-laws, William Alger and Sam Cobb; and 2 grandchildren. Cassie is survived by 2 sons, Donald (Bev) Bursley of Holt and Charles Bursley of Florida; 3 daughters, Nancy Alger of DeWitt, Mane Cobb of Lansing and Terry (Mike) Fitzpatrick of Olivet; 12 grandchildren; 19 greatgrandchildren; and 3 great-greatgrandchildren. Also surviving are a host of extended family and friends.

Williamston, Ml November 21, 2002 Lee was born in Muskegon on May 16, 1941. He married Kathryn Engle on April 2, 1966.

Lee was a graduate of Western Michigan University and Michigan State University, where he received his Masters Degree in Education. Lee served as a U.S. Naval Officer on the U.S.S. Enterprise (CVAN 65) during the Vietnam Conflict. Lee had an Industrial Arts and Technology teaching career spanning 31 years with the last 26 at Okemos Middle School.

In 1986 Lee served as President of the Michigan Industrial and Technology Education Society and received the International Technology Education Association Teacher of the Year Award. Lee co-authored a textbook on Industrial Education, was a boys and girls basketball coach in Okemos, and was an avid deer hunter, fisherman, and golfer who loved being up North. Lee was preceded in death by his daughter, Leslie Powers, and his mother, Ruth Schaude. Surviving are his wife, Kathryn, daughter Lisa and husband Pat Schuesler of Webberville, Joe and Cyndi Powers, 3 grandchildren, Tyler, Flynn, and Esabella; Lawrence Schaude, father and wife June. Visitation will be at the Gorsline-Runciman Co.

Mr. Nelson graduated from Cadillac High School. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII. He married Aune Torkko in 1946 and was again called to Naval service during the Korean Conflict.

He graduated from Ferris College in 1957 with a degree in Pharmacy and was a member of Rho Chi. He worked for Cunningham Drugs in Cadillac for a number of years, transferring to Lansing in 1957 where he became Pharmacist and manager of the Cunningham Drug Store Frandor until its closing in the late 80's. He worked for K-mart and several other pharmacies until his retirement He was a lifetime member of B.P.O.E. and a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles in Lansing. Mr.

Nelson had been a member of Grace Lutheran Church since 1962. He enjoyed his family, his friends and a good time. Surviving are: wife Aune, of Flushing; son, Gary Nelson and wife Eileen of Flushing; 2 grandchildren, Gary Nelson, Jr. and Jennifer Nelson both of Flushing; sister, Sally Boersma and husband Marv of Freeland; step-mother, Eleanor Nelson of Cadillac; several nieces and nephews, including Terry Torrko of Olivet, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wayne Nelson.

Meyers, Robert Dale Williamston, Ml Age 81, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2002. He was born in Chicago, IL, May 7, 1921. Bob was a clerk in Plant Protection at Fisher Body for 28 years. He owned Bob's Party Store in Williamston for 13 years, retiring in 1984. He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Lucile and Ernest Berg, and son, Richard (Rick) Meyers (1998).

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Alice; daughters, Terry (Ron) Griffith of Williamston and Tina Osowski of Jackson; 4 grandchildren, Michael (Adrienne) Griffith of Frisco, TX, Wendy (Joseph) Clay of Paris, KY, Ann McClure of Jackson and James McClure of Jackson; 3 greatgrandchildren, Kyle and Drew Griffith and Lucile Clay; 1 brother, Albert Berg of CA. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Monday, November 25, 2 PM at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. Williamston Chapel, 205 E. Middle Street, Williamston, with the Rev. Thomas Thompson, Pastor of St.

Mary Catholic Church, officiating. The Rite of Committal will follow in Summit Cemetery, Williamston.
