Delta Township, Ml Lansing, Ml A loving husband, father, and grandfather was born February TX; he went to be with the Lord on March 13, 2003, at the age of 79. Mr. Ortiz had retired from GM after 23 Age 73 passed away on March 15, 2003, surrounded by her family. Margo was born November 23, 1929 in Lansing. Margo graduated from Eastern High School Class of 1947.

Age 89, passed away on March 13, 2003. He was born on October 26, 1913, in Desha, Arkansas, and has lived in the Lansing area most of his life. Mr. Searcy was employed at Melline Drop Age 41, Stephen was born on January 18, 1962 in Lansing and left this world too soon on March 11, 2003 after a long battle with cancer. Stephen was a much beloved son, brother, cousin, Age 75, passed on March 11, 2003.

Born April 30, 1927 in Seville Township, the son of Lloyd Leroy Lip-pert and Leafa Margaret (Fuller) Lippert. Jack, was a member of the Commu -J I mLLA Forge, retiring in 1978. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, in November of 2002, son, Jerry Lee, and by sister, Eloise Underwood and brother, Jim Searcy.

Surviving are: Rose Ann (David) Patrick; step-son, Robert (Ruth) Steffensen; step-daughter, Sheryl (Stanley) Frazier; 3 grandchildren, Kami (Jim) Pasch, Kim Murphy, and Kirk Guthrie; 4 step-grandchildren, Shelley Frazier, Stacy (John) Jones, Steffen (Linda) Frazier, and Kristina Craft; 10 great grandchildren. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Ingham County Medical Care Facility, Dementia Unit, for their excellent care during the past 6 months. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2003, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with Rev. Dan Wilkinson officiating.

Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, where military honors will be provided the Morley S. Oates Post 701, V.F.W. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Searcy. Okemos, Ml Formerly of Indian Wells, CA Age 79, died March 12, 2003. Born October 15, 1923 in Indianapolis, IN. Mrs. Tribell was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E.

Surviving are 1 daughter, Maggie Fitzsimons of Haslett; 2 sons, Sky-lar (Jill) of Okemos and Kevin Tribell of Black Hawk, SD; 4 grandchildren, T.J. and Brian Tribell and Matt and Katye Fitzsimons; 1 sister, Marjorie Sacra of Bloomfield Hills, MI. Lakeview, Ml Formerly of Wyandotte, Ml Died Thursday, March 2003 at her home. She was 82 years old. She was born on September 29, 1920 to Abraham and Bertha (Berkowitz) Berger in Highland Park, MI. She married Lawrence Eugene "Gene" Padden on April 24, 1946 in Highland Park. They raised their family in Wyandotte, MI, prior to moving to Lakeview in 1992.

Mrs. Padden was a loving mother and homemaker. She was an avid reader and writer. She liked working on the computer and making cards to send to her family members. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Lawrence of Lakeview; children, Nancy (Jim) Cuddeback of East Lansing, Jeffrey (Kathy) Padden of Okemos, Gary (Cathie) Padden of Lakeview, Douglas Padden of Flagstaff, AZ, and Laurie (Russell) Jordan of Tokyo, Japan; siblings, Esther (Stan) Lewm of Tucson, AZ, Harris (Shirley) Berger of Vero Beach, FL, and Milton Berger of Bloom-field Hills; as well as 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sylvia Berger. Friends and family members may pay their respects at the Padden's home, 611 Lincoln Avenue in Lake-view on Sunday, March 16, 2003 from 2-5 PM. Jack served or was a member of: Oneida Township zoning board, Traverse City Boy Scout Council, Sons of the American Revolution, Traverse City Rotary and was given the Rotary Fellows award. Jack was preceded in death by his mother and father; 3 brothers-in-law, Harold Cook, Raymond Jelli-son, and Earl Damon; 2 sisters, Donna (Kendall) Ward and Dorothy Cook.

Surviving is his wife, Marvel Lippert; children, Karen (Rick) Combs, Kevin (Theresa) Lippert; 4 grandchildren, Angela Combs, Joshua Combs, Adam Lippert and Holly Lippert; brothers and 5 sisters, Leslie (Retha) Lippert, and Rex (Phyllis) Lippert, Arlene Jellison, Opal (Mel) Simpson, Patricia Prochazka, Jean (Gale) Phillips, Phyllis Damon; and several nephews and nieces. Visitation has been set for Friday, March 28, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. at Gorsline-Runciman Co. Funeral Home, 900 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing, MI, followed with Memorial Services there on Saturday, March 29, 2003 at 2 p.m.

He was a very caring and helpfulperson and will be missed very much. Mr. Ortiz was preceded in death by 1 grandson, Juan Centeno III.

Lauderdale, FL Formerly of Lansing, Ml Born November 4, 1910 in William-ston; died March 14, 2003, at the age of 92. Mrs. Bauer was a former teacher in Chicago, Battle Creek and Lansing. She was a member of St. Martin Episcopal Church, Pom-pano Beach, FL, a former member of St.

Paul's Episcopal Church, Lansing, and a former very active member of the St. Lawrence Hospital Auxiliary. Mrs. Bauer was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Bauer, in 1997. Surviving are her 2 sons, Richard "Rick" (Elizabeth) Bauer of Concord Township, OH and Edward (Catherine) Bauer of North Canton, OH; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Maxine Rainbolt of Lansing.

Jack was born on October 3, 1929 in Detroit, MI.

He was an avid bowler and golfer. He has been inducted into the Lansing Sports Hall of Fame, and is an inaugural inductee in the Greater Lansing Bowling Hall of Fame. He became a "native" as soon as he stepped foot into Florida in 1995. Jack made great memories golfing, dancing, and socializing at Hidden Creek and country club. He leaves )ehind several close friends there, ack asks that you not remember urn with tears, but that you raise a flass in toast to all the good times shared.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Peggy Curry and his parents, Lawrence and Emily Curry. Jack is survived by his sons, Steve Curry of Honolulu, HI, John Curry and Eric Curry, both of Lansing, MI; grandsons, Nicholas, Mitchell and Austin; brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Josephine Curry; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Scotty Lee; six nieces; one nephew; and great nieces and nephews. The family also wishes to thank Jack's special friend, Shirley Burge, for her support and help during his time of need. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank everyone at Covenant Hospice for their help and support.
