T. Nussbaum of Lake Geneva. Wis. The ceremony was performed at 2:30 o'clock in the afternoon In the chapel of Peoples' church. East Lansing, by the Rev.

Dr. M. L. Fox. White candles in wrought iron candelabra against a background of palms made the setting for the service, witnessed by 75 guests.

The bride carried a nosegay bouquet of white gardenias. Maid of honor. Miss Kathleen Wigle, of Windsor, Canada, wore dusty rose organdy with a large white hat tied at the chin with rase colored ribbon. Her bouquet was of delphinium. Mrs.

Howard Truesdell of Plymouth was bridesmaid, wearing a blue costume like that of the maid of honor, and carrying Johanna Hill roses. E. T. Nussbaum attended his son as groomsman. Ushers were Ross Leach of Windsor, and Howard Truesdell of Plymouth.

Miss Eva Smith played organ music. A reception in the church parlors followed the service. The bride's mother, Mrs. Gibson, wore a flowered silk jersey dress with matching hat and a corsage of gardenias. Mother of the groom, Mrs.

Nussbaum. wore white embroidered organdy over brown taffeta and her flowers were talisman roses. Mistresses of ceremonies were Mrs. B. C.

Fowler of this city and Mrs. W. H. NeUer of Oroville, Wash. Those assisting were Miss Maryan Ashley.

Miss Norma Ford, and Miss Virginia Johnston. The bride and groom left on a trip through northern Michigan. After July 8 they will be at home at 910 West Lapeer street. Both attended Michigan State college. Out-of-town guests at the wedding were from Battle Creek, St.

Johns. Richmond. Ann Arbor, Detroit, Windsor, Ont Canada, and Oroville, Wash. Mr. and Mrs.

On Saturday the regular bridge tea was given. All Is in readiness at the club now for the July 4 celebration, which will include mixed four-ball foursomes of golf followed by dinner, and bridge. Winner of the first flight in the handicap tournament was Mrs. L. C.

Pemberton. Mrs. G. B. Hamilton was runner-up.

Results in other flights were: flight No. 2 Mrs. O. S. Mclntire, winner.

Mrs. L. B. Wood, runner-up flight No. 3, Mrs.

R. F. Cass, winner. Mrs. C.

R. Stough, runner-up. Mrs. R. F.

McKim. Mrs. J. A. Watson, and Mrs.

C. M. Yates were in charge of the bridge tea Saturday. Mrs. Yates presided at the tea table which was attractively decorated with blue delphinium and mock orange.

Mrs. Clair Johnson won high score and Mrs. R. J. Baldwin received the traveling prize.

Golfers will tee off between 1 and 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Dinner will be served at 6:30 o'clock, and reservations should be made at the clubhouse by noon Tuesday. Bridge will begin at 8:30 o'clock and there will be prizes. Mr. and Mrs.

G. S. Mclntire are on the committee for the day. Anderson-Nichols Nuptials in Church Central Methodist church was scene of the wedding Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock of Miss Marie Anderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Edwin Anderson of Lansing, and Lester R. Nichols of East Lansing, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Nichols of Williamston. About 400 guests were present.

Mrs. John Behler of Grand Rapids, organist, played several selections preceding the ceremony, and Kenneth Wlntermute sang. Large baskets of mixed flowers and palms adorned the altar, and wide satin ribbons, caught with clusters of pink roses and large bows, marked the aisle. The Rev. Mr.

R. E. Durkee of Grand Rapids, and the Rev. Mr. A.

of East Lansing officiated. married the bride's parents 22 years ago. The bride wore a gown of white slipper satin with tiny, shirred waist and extremely full skirt with a two-yard train. Leg-o'-mutton sleeves were long, with points at the wrists, and Chantilly lace outlined the sweetheart neckline. Her long veil of Chantilly and Illusion lace fell from a seed pearl and orange blossom tiara.

She wore a pearl necklace and carried a shower bouquet of valley lilies and pink rosebuds. Miss Caroline Nichols of Williamston was maid of honor, wearing apple green silk organdy over satin, and a tiara of flowers and mist net. Her arm bouquet was of mixed flowers. Mrs. Ted Rudd of Lansing was matron of honor, wearing peach organdy, with headdress of blue.

Bridesmaids were Miss Betty Harrison, Miss Doris Jarrad. Miss Arlene Coulter and Mrs. George Butler. Miss Marie Van Doran. and Miss Pattl Van Doran of Flint.

Their gowns were pale blue and their headdresses were peach and blue. They carried peach-colored muffs to which shower corsages were-pinned. Little Clarissa Penfield of East Lansing was flower girL dressed in sunburst yellow, with a garland of yellow roses in her hair. Roland Nichols of Holt and Wayne Bancroft of Traverse City attended the bridegroom. Ushers were George Butler of Flint, Albert Wolf.

Anderson, mother of the bride, wore a long dress of navy silk marquisette with accents of frosty white organdy. Her gloves and picture hat were white and her corsage was of gardenias. Mrs. Nichols, mother of the bridegroom, wore flowered chiffon and gardenias. Assisting at the reception were Mrs.

Warren Eddie. Miss Agatha Fires. Miss Mary Warner, Miss Jeanne Cotton. Miss Geraldine Michels. Miss Betty Troyer, Miss Marylee Golden and Miss Faith Manning.

The bride and groom left on a wedding trip, the bride wearing a chartreuse knit suit with brown and white accessories and a corsage of purple orchids. WHO WHERE WHEN Mr. and Mrs. R. J.

Coleman and daughter. Suzanne, of East Lansing are leaving the first part of this week for northern part of Pennsylvania to visit Mrs. Coleman's mother, Mrs. J. H.

Grabe of Coudersport. Pa. Mr. Coleman will return to East Lansing at the end of the month, but Mrs. Coleman and her daughter will remain in Pennsylvania until the end of the summer Mrs.

Charles F. Loker, 445 Abbott road. East Lansing, returned Sunday from TawasCity where she spent a vacation with her mother, Mrs. L. B.

W. C. A. left Sunday evening for an eastern trip. She will visit the New York world's fair and many spots of historical Interest in the New England states, returning to Lansing the latter part of July.

Roses and delphinium decorated the tables, and other appointments were in blue and gold, color scheme also for the gifts of linen presented to Miss Swan. C. E. Converse was guest of honor at a surprise birthday tea Saturday afternoon at her home, 215 Bingham street, given by her daughters. Mrs. Perry Converse, Mrs.

Edmund Wiegandt and Miss Jane Ann Converse. More than 40 friends of Mrs. Converse were present. An elaborate birthday cake flanked with tall tapers, centered the refreshment table which was covered with a Quaker lace cloth. Mrs.

S. C. Whitney, mother of the guest of honor, poured from a silver tea service. Mixed garden flowers were placed throughout the house. The honor guest received many beautiful gifts from the guests.

Arthur Teg-lund of Lansing was groomsman. An informal reception followed the ceremony. After a 10-day trip through the upper peninsula, the bride and groom will make their home in Lansing. The 29 guests present were from Lansing. Charlotte, Fowierville.

and Freeport. Carlton Eldridge On Music Staff Carlton Eldridge. well known Lansing vocalist, has joined the staff of the James conservatory, formerly the Dorotha Klooz conservatory. He will teach voice both privately and in class work at the opening, in the fall, although retaining his own former private work. Mr.

Eldridge and his mother. Mrs. Elizabeth Eldridge. are on a trip to the south where Mr. Eldridge will present a number of concerts.

He sang Sunday in the Westminster Presbyterian church, of Dayton. O. Following a visit with relatives in Nashville. Tenn the two will go to St. Petersburg, Fla.
