They're back, but there's no reason for audiences to encourage encourage them by going to see them. "Critters 2,M at the Meridian and Elmwood, is a vile excuse for entertainment It tries to mix horror horror with humor, but the results are disgusting. ' ; The critters consume everything everything from fast-food fast-food fast-food to flesh. They attack the movie's grouchy characters characters and eat them to the bone. We're treated to endless footage of these long-fanged long-fanged long-fanged furballs in feeding frenzies. The story is so thin that an outer space subplot is added. The second set of space guys take on -the -the identity of earthlings. The only apparent reason for this lame device is to photograph a man becoming a Playboy bunny, growing breasts and the whole bit The original "Critters" were semicute and mischievous. Here, ' they're cruel and grotesque. REVIEW "Critters" Rating: 1, on a 0-10 0-10 0-10 scale. Critique: A fun idea turns it into a 'grotesque, mean-spirited mean-spirited mean-spirited film.
