BURRIS, VIOLA F. Mason Age 95, passed away on May 13, 1995. She was born on February 18, 1900 in Norway, MI, and had lived in the Detroit area for most of her life before moving to Jackson six years ago. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Auxiliary and the Daughters of the Amer-. Amer-. Amer-. ican Revolution. In 1921, she married married Cass A. Burris, who preceded her in death in 1983. Surviving are daughter, Joy VanDame of Littleton, Littleton, CO; 6 granddaughters, Marlea Taylor of Englewood, CO, Kathy Gebhart of Lake Ronkonkoma, Long Island, NY, Mary Anne Ste- Ste- , vens of Jackson, Patricia Stevens of Atlanta, GA, Susan Abbott of Mason, Jul! Ryner of Waterford, MI; 2 grandsons, Kenneth Stevens of Portage, Portage, Donald Stevens of Port Huron; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great-great great-great great-great grandchild; 2 sisters, Elsie Anderson Anderson of Scottsdale, AZ, Marcella Tiegs of Renton, WA; and sister-in-law, sister-in-law, sister-in-law, sister-in-law, sister-in-law, Betty DeRoeck of Gladstones She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Marcella D. Stevens, and 3 brothers, Henry, Leo and Leonard DeRoeck. Religious services will be conducted by the Rev. Fr. Kenneth McDonald of St James Catholic, Church, Mason, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 1995 at the Estes-Leadley Estes-Leadley Estes-Leadley HoltDelhi Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 a.m. Tuesday until service time. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Sepulchre Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the St James Catholic Church, Christian Service Committee Committee in memory of Viola F. Burris.
