to- so-called PUBLISHER'S SOI OF INFL Harry McGrath, Charlotte, Was Engaged in Government Government Research Work. CHARLOTTE, Oct. 9. News has been received here from Mr. and Mrs. Harry T. McGrath, who were called to Washington, D. C, last week by the serious illness of their son .Harry McGrath, that he passed away Monday evening, death beifis due to Spanish influenza. The young manwas about 26 years old and had been engaged in scientific research for the bureau of standards, standards, having spent the past summer at the naval base at New London, Conn. He graduated from the Charlotte Charlotte high school with the class of 1910 and later graduated from the University of Michigan and became an instructor in chemistry there. His wife was formerly Miss Marie Dunham Dunham of Concord, who before her marriage taught school here. Mr. McGrath's father is the publisher of the Charlotte Republican and Eaton county fuel administrator, also a former postmaster of Charlotte. 21
